Friendswood Chamber of Commerce
Due to a lawsuit, filed by Carl Gustafson, Plaintiff as Galveston County Republican chair against Janis Lowe, Deborah Winters Chaney and Kathy Rogers (among others) we must cancel this meeting. As your FRW officers we are unable to conduct this meeting and must cancel this activity. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
The Friendswood Republican Women are looking forward to meeting with members and non-members alike, following Spring Break. In many of the Primary races we have several people running for the same position. Unfortunately, because of this — it is highly likely that we will have run-off elections. We want to devote our March Meeting to those Candidates who will be in the run-off election. It is well known that very few Voters show up again to vote in run-off elections. AND if you have not voted in the Primary Election yet, please do but PLEASE — research the Candidates running! We are sorry to say there have been mailers and information put out that is incorrect, from so-called conservative newsletters, supporting candidates that are known to be Democrats, running in our Republican Primary! The GOP does not stop someone from running on the Republican Ticket. Therefore, it is up to the Voters to investigate a Candidate’s record for themselves. Please join us on Thursday, March 22, from 11:15am-12:30pm for lunch! The cost is $13 and RSVP’s are a MUST, as our wonderful caterer needs a head count. All attendees must purchase a meal. We are meeting at the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, in the heart of Friendswood and we look forward to seeing you! Please RSVP to Janis Lowe, Precinct 462 Chair, at janis@jlowerealtors. Questions or comments? Please call Deborah Winters Chaney, Precinct 460 Chair, at (281) 224-7800. Our President, Kathy Rogers, is the Chair for Precinct 456. The three of us are on the Ballot for reelection in our Precincts, as we have opponents. The Voters are well represented in our Club! We look forward to seeing you and men are always welcome.
